How do you dodge a meteor hurtling towards your job, team, business, organization, industry, or community? How do you craft your strategy beyond next week when so many things are changing all around you?
Self-driving cars, artificial intelligence, 5G connections, smart glasses, 3D printing, voice interfaces… alone, any one of these powerful new trends would be enough to change the fate of an organization or business. In combination, they present an almost incalculable and potentially deadly level of disruption.
These trends aren't way off in the distance: that future is already here. Dr Brad Berens gave an eye-opening presentation at Cascade's Engage Conference earlier this year...

We've already lived through vast changes in the 30 years the publicly-accessible internet has been around in the US. In that time, digital technologies have transformed many aspects of our lives, from how we share photos of a new baby to how we make dinner reservations, from how we take notes to how we learn about breaking news stories, from how we send a quick message to how we collaborate on a years-long project plan, from how we entertain ourselves to how we monitor and manage our health care, from how we buy a book to how we get across town or to another country, and more.
And yet, despite how much these new technologies have altered our lives, the next 25 years will see even more profound changes.
In today’s keynote address, Dr. Brad Berens — Principal at Big Digital Idea Consulting and Chief Strategy Officer of the Center for the Digital Future at the Annenberg School, University of Southern California — will take you on a high-speed tour of the future, where colliding trends will continue to disrupt industries, organizations, businesses, families and individual lives.
He also explores what you need to know to thrive in this exciting new world, and how these colliding trends will affect your day-to-day and long-term strategies.
